Mums arrive in fall when the garden needs color most, and they'll bloom steadily through November if you keep them watered. Plant them in full sun and they'll flower for weeks without much fussing.

Pinch back the stems now if they're leggy, and they'll branch out fuller. Once they finish, pull them out—they won't survive our winters outdoors.
