Encore Moonlight sends up ruffled white flowers against light green foliage, and like the rest of the Encore family it blooms in waves: spring, summer, and again in fall. It is a fast, upright grower to five or six feet, useful where you need evergreen height with flowers rather than just a green wall.

Site it with four to six hours of sun; morning sun with afternoon shade is the sweet spot in Birmingham. Acidic, well-drained soil and a couple inches of mulch keep the shallow roots happy. Prune, if needed, right after the spring flush.
