‘Arbequina’ is the olive that made Southern olive-growing plausible: cold-hardy for the species, self-fertile, quick to bear small aromatic fruit, and silver-leaved handsome year-round.
Full sun and sharp drainage — raised ground or a big pot suits it perfectly. In the ground give it a warm, sheltered wall; either way it's a conversation tree that occasionally makes dinner.
