Angel Face is a floribunda from 1968 that people still ask for by name, mostly for its color and its perfume: ruffled, deep lavender blooms with a strong, sweet old-rose fragrance, produced in clusters from spring to frost. The bush stays compact, around 3 feet, with dark leathery foliage.

Grow it in full sun with good air movement, in well-drained soil enriched with compost. Deadhead spent clusters to push the next wave, water at the base, and feed lightly after each flush. Its size makes it a good rose for containers and small gardens where fragrance matters.
