‘Hot Flash’ brings true red into the fall garden — bright, semi-double sasanqua flowers with gold centers, opening well before the winter camellias and pairing beautifully with fall foliage color.
Being a sasanqua, it's happy with a good deal of sun as well as light shade. Acidic, well-drained soil and a mulched root zone keep it thriving. Use it in a mixed border, as an informal hedge, or trained flat against a wall or fence.
