Loblolly Pine

Loblolly pine is Alabama's fast native canopy tree — straight-trunked, open-crowned, and quick to cast the high, dappled shade that azaleas, camellias, and dogwoods love living under.

Full sun, most soils, remarkable speed. Plant it for quick height on new lots, in groves for a woodland feel, or to rebuild the pine canopy older neighborhoods are losing.
