About this plant
Loquat brings the evergreen tropics to the winter garden: bold, corrugated leaves, fragrant white flowers in fall, and — after mild winters — clusters of sweet-tart golden fruit in spring.
Full sun to light shade in well-drained soil, with a warm, sheltered spot improving fruit chances in Birmingham. Even fruitless it earns its place as a handsome 15–20 foot evergreen specimen.
