About this plant
‘October Magic Orchid’ is a compact sasanqua with full orchid-pink to soft lavender-pink flowers that bloom from October into December, a cool tone that sets it apart from its red and white cousins in the series.
Like other sasanquas it tolerates sun well, from mostly sunny to lightly shaded spots, in acidic well-drained soil. Its 4–5 foot spreading habit suits foundation plantings, low screens, and Japanese gardens where that orchid tone reads clearly.
