Parson's juniper is the landscape workhorse of the group: a tidy, spreading evergreen 2–3 feet high with blue-green foliage that tolerates heat, drought, and neglect better than almost anything we grow.

Full sun and drainage; nothing more. Mass it on banks and medians, use it to face down taller shrubs, or let it hold the line in that hot strip along the driveway.
