‘Ballet in Pink’ dresses up the coldest part of the garden year with ruffled pink blooms held against glossy evergreen foliage, opening from winter into early spring when little else is flowering.
Like most japonicas it wants morning sun or high shade, shelter from harsh afternoon light, and acidic, well-drained soil. Once established it is a low-effort, long-lived shrub that grows more impressive every year. Use it as a specimen near the house, in a woodland border, or as the anchor of a shade planting.
