Ruby is a variegated rubber plant, its broad, glossy leaves splashed with cream, green, and pink, the new growth flushed rosy red as it unfurls from its sheath. It grows upright into a small indoor tree and carries a lot of color for a foliage plant.

Bright, indirect light is what keeps the pink and cream pronounced; in dim corners the leaves shift greener. Let the top inch or two of soil dry between waterings, keep it clear of cold drafts, and wipe the wide leaves occasionally so they gleam.
