About this plant
‘Carolina Sapphire’ moves fast and shines silver-blue, with lacy, aromatic foliage on a broad pyramid that can put on 2–3 feet a year. Few evergreens bring this much color to a screen planting.
It wants full sun and, above all, sharp drainage — it's a dryland cypress that thrives on heat and hates wet feet. Excellent for sunny screens and windbreaks; cut branches are wonderful in holiday arrangements.
