Miss Molly is a butterfly bush with flower spikes in an unusually deep sangria-red, a shade closer to true red than most buddleias manage. It grows to a manageable four to five feet and blooms from summer into fall.
Full sun brings the strongest color and the most flowers. It handles clay, drought, deer, and rabbits, and asks only for decent drainage. Trim it back hard in early spring; it blooms on new wood, and butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds find it fast.
