About this plant
‘Powder Blue’ is the late rabbiteye blueberry, stretching harvest into late summer with its light powder-blue berries, sweet and firm. Ripens after earlier cultivars finish, on a compact 4–6 foot shrub in full sun.
Rabbiteyes need genuinely acidic soil — amend with sulfur or peat, or grow in a container. Plant at least two different rabbiteye cultivars nearby for reliable fruit set; we stock several. Even moisture and deep mulch year-round.
