Ascot Rainbow is a euphorbia grown for foliage that looks painted: sage green, lime, and gold variegation on reddish stems, with cream-and-green flower bracts in spring and red-flushed tips as fall cools. It holds its color nearly year-round at about 20 inches tall.
Give it sun to part sun and well-drained soil; once established it is reliably drought tolerant and deer resistant. Wear gloves when cutting it back, as the milky sap can irritate skin, and site it away from spots where children might snack.
