Henry's Garnet sweetspire bears long, drooping white bottlebrush flowers fragrant in late spring through early summer, then shifts to deep garnet foliage that lingers into winter. This native grows 3–5 feet tall and spreads wider with age.

Sun to part shade, it tolerates wet ground and ordinary soil alike, rooting gently into colonies on banks and pond edges. Let it sucker to stabilize slopes; shear it right after it flowers if you want a tighter outline.
