Low and spreading, alyssum fills the gaps between taller plants and softens the edges of beds and baskets. The flowers are tiny but dense, and they bloom steadily from planting through the season.

Plant it where you need quick color in early spring or fall, or tuck it into containers for a trailing accent. It takes full sun to part shade and isn't fussy about soil.
