‘Cherokee Brave’ is a native flowering dogwood with deep pink-red bracts centered in white, blooming early spring before leaf-out. Autumn foliage turns red. Reaches roughly 20 feet with an upright habit.

Morning sun with afternoon shade suits it best, in moist, well-drained acidic soil with mulch. Avoid drought stress and trunk damage from mowers. Better mildew resistance than older pink selections.
