Kwanzan cherry is the showiest flowering cherry, with fully double deep pink flowers like small pompoms so dense they hide the branches. It blooms later than Yoshino, extending the cherry season when planted together. Reaches 25–30 feet in a stiff vase shape that widens with age.

Full sun and well-drained soil are essential. Sets no fruit, so no cleanup required — just the flowers each spring.
