Southern Magnolia ‘Little Gem’

‘Little Gem’ puts the whole southern magnolia experience — glossy bronze-backed leaves, fragrant white summer flowers — into a slender, dense tree that blooms young and fits where the species never could.

Full sun to light shade in well-drained soil. Use it flanking entries, as a narrow evergreen screen, or espaliered on a wall; expect roughly 20 feet with a tidy footprint.
