Acoma is a semi-dwarf crape myrtle with a gracefully weeping habit, topping out around six to ten feet, so it fits under power lines and close to patios. Pure white, crinkled flower clusters keep coming through summer, and peeling bark carries the show into winter. Fall foliage adds rich color.
Like every crape myrtle it blooms hardest in full sun. Acoma has good mildew resistance, so the foliage stays clean in our humidity. Treat it as a large shrub or limb it up into a small multi-trunk tree; either way, no heavy pruning required.
