About this plant
Albo Marginata is a dependable old hosta with medium green leaves edged in a clean white margin, building into a mound about 18 inches tall and 3 to 4 feet across. Spikes of lavender flowers rise above the foliage in summer.
Grow it in shade or with morning sun only; in Birmingham, afternoon sun scorches white-edged hostas. It likes rich, moist, well-drained soil and steady water through summer, and it pairs naturally with ferns and heucheras.
