About this plant
‘Ever Red’ brings loropetalum to screen scale, reaching 5–7 feet tall and wide, with the deepest near-black red foliage in the group and red fringe flowers in spring rather than pink. It gives a large, dense evergreen mass where the dwarf types would be lost.
Plant in full sun for the richest foliage color, in well-drained acidic soil. Use it as a specimen or a hedge along property lines, where its size and dark color anchor the garden.
