Southern Indica Azalea ‘G.G. Gerbing’

G.G. Gerbing is the white Southern Indica — a big, vigorous evergreen azalea that disappears under 3-inch pure-white blooms in mid spring, so full the whole shrub reads white. An occasional stray rebloom shows up in early fall.

Left unsheared it builds to 5–6 feet tall and wide, so give it room. Filtered shade and acid soil suit it best; morning sun is fine, hot afternoon sun is not.
