About this plant
‘Ouachita’ is the thornless blackberry — reason enough to grow it, since you can pick without being shredded. Erect canes stand on their own, bearing firm sweet berries in early summer on a compact plant.
Full sun and well-drained soil. It's self-fertile, so one plant crops. Fruit comes on second-year canes; cut out what has just fruited and keep the new.
