About this plant
The classic exclamation point of Mediterranean gardens: Italian cypress grows into a pencil-thin, deep green column, eventually 20–30 feet tall but barely 3 feet wide. Nothing else draws the eye upward like it.
It demands full sun and sharply drained soil — plant it high and never in a soggy spot. Use it in pairs at entries, in rows along drives, or as a vertical accent among lower plantings.
