Nikko Blue is the blue mophead of Southern gardens, the one in everyone's grandmother's yard, with clear sky-blue globes in early summer when grown in our naturally acidic soil.

It blooms on old wood, so prune only right after flowering. Morning sun, afternoon shade, and water in dry spells.
