Raspberry Smoothie althea produces fully double, ruffled blooms in deep saturated pink from midsummer through fall on an upright shrub reaching 8–10 feet tall by 4–6 wide. The color depth sets it apart from softer pink cousins.

Full to part sun, any soil including clay; once established it shrugs off heat and drought. Prune in late winter since it blooms on new wood. Pollinators visit it reliably. Use it as a specimen or screen where that pink can anchor a border.
