About this plant
Despite the name, strawberry begonia is neither a strawberry nor a begonia; it is a saxifrage that spreads the way a strawberry does, sending out thin red runners with baby plants dangling from the ends. The rounded, fuzzy leaves show pale veining above and a reddish flush beneath, and airy white flowers appear on slender stalks.
It is made for a hanging basket or a shelf edge where the runners can spill over. Give it bright, indirect light, let the soil dry slightly between waterings, and keep it out of hot direct sun. The plantlets root easily if you want more.
