Ruby Stella is a compact reblooming daylily in the Stella mold, but in red: ruby blooms with a yellow-green throat, opening over a long run through summer on tidy clumps of grassy foliage a foot or so tall. It repeats reliably instead of giving one show.

Plant it in full sun to part sun in nearly any soil that drains. Water while it settles in; after that it handles drought and shrugs off rabbits. Snap off spent scapes to encourage the next flush. It suits borders, mass plantings, and mailbox beds alike.
