Golden Sphere coreopsis covers a tidy 10 to 12 inch mound of light green foliage with fully double, button-round golden-yellow blooms from early summer into fall. The rounded flowers read almost like little pompons and cut well for small vases.

Give it full sun and reasonable drainage and it asks for little else. Deadhead or shear lightly midsummer to keep the flowers coming. Deer pass it by while butterflies work the blooms, and its size fits border edges, containers, and pocket gardens.
