About this plant
Florida leucothoe (Agarista) arches gracefully in evergreen tiers, drips with honey-scented white bells in spring, and does it all in the damp shade where most shrubs give up. Native, deer-resistant, elegant.
Shade to part shade in moist, acidic soil — streamside conditions suit it perfectly. Beautiful massed in woodland gardens and along shaded foundations, 8 feet with age.
