Gumpo Azalea White

Gumpo White is a dwarf Satsuki azalea that covers itself in clean white blooms in mid to late spring, weeks after the main azalea flush is finished. It stays low and compact, roughly 2 feet tall and 3 feet wide, with small evergreen leaves, so it works at the front of a bed or massed in groups.

Site it in part shade; morning sun with afternoon protection suits it here. Like all azaleas it wants acidic, organic, well-drained soil and a shallow root run, so plant it a touch high, mulch it, and keep it watered its first couple of summers.
