Suncatcher Yellow is a tall, upright perennial sunflower that carries its yellow daisy flowers late in the season, when much of the garden has already finished. It's a native, and the plant gives you real height, so plan on several feet of stature rather than a tidy border edge.

Give it full sun and average soil; it's tough about both, and clay is no obstacle once the roots settle in. Leave room for it at the back of the bed, where its stems can rise without crowding neighbors. Late-blooming yellow daisies pair well with ornamental grasses and fall-flowering asters.
