Mesa Bicolor is a blanket flower with daisy-form blooms in hot two-tone colour over grey-green foliage, blooming from late spring right through the summer heat. It's a native that keeps a tidy, low habit and won't get floppy if you leave it alone.

Rich soil is the mistake that kills these, so plant it in full sun and lean, fast-draining ground where its roots can work. Once it's settled it handles drought without complaint, butterflies come to it readily, and deer tend to leave it alone.
