Cinnamon Stick is a Heucherella grown for its foliage, a low mound of warm, spiced-toned leaves that holds its color through the full year, with the airy flower spikes as a minor bonus. It stays compact and forms a tidy clump suited to the front of a border.

Give it part shade to full shade and soil that drains freely, because crown rot in soggy clay is what usually kills these here in Birmingham. Plant it at the front of a shade border or along a path where the foliage can be seen up close.
