Ming aralia is a fine-leaved evergreen shrub with feathery, deeply cut foliage that reads almost lacy from across a room, held on slender upright stems that reach 2–3 feet indoors.

Bright indirect light from a window, consistent moisture (not waterlogged), and occasional misting to keep humidity up; this one sulks in cold drafts and dislikes being moved around.
