About this plant
‘Premier’ is an early-to-midseason rabbiteye with large, firm, well-flavored berries — the one that justifies the fuss over acid soil. Vigorous and productive over several weeks in early summer.
Full sun, acidic well-drained soil, and pine-bark mulch are non-negotiable; amend heavily or grow in a container if your ground runs neutral. Plant a second rabbiteye variety nearby for reliable pollination and a full crop.
