This dancing lady orchid, an Oncidium type, carries branched sprays of small, bright lemon-yellow blooms whose flared lips flutter like full skirts, so a plant in flower looks like a chorus line in motion. Dozens of blooms open along each spike and last for weeks indoors.

Grow it in bright, indirect light in an orchid bark mix, watering as the mix approaches dryness. It appreciates humidity and a slight nighttime temperature drop, which helps trigger rebloom. Feed lightly with orchid fertilizer through the growing season, then rest it after flowering.
