Gold Lace juniper brings year-round golden-yellow color on a compact, spreading evergreen with fine, lacy foliage. It matures around three to four feet tall and four to six wide, and the gold glows brightest where it catches full sun, sharp against darker greens.

Plant it in sun to part sun in soil that drains; once established it is drought tolerant and about as low-maintenance as shrubs get. Use it to brighten foundation plantings, hold a bank, or punctuate a bed of deep green conifers. It also shelters small wildlife.
