Blue Spruce sedum, part of our Toe Ticklers stepable line, really does look like a carpet of tiny spruce tips: needle-like blue-gray foliage on creeping stems a few inches tall, evergreen and colorful in all four seasons, with small flowers in summer.

It wants full sun and lean, fast-draining soil, then thrives on neglect, shrugging off drought, dry rocky ground, deer, and rabbits. Use it between pavers, cascading over wall edges, or as a no-water groundcover in the hottest strip along the driveway.
