White variegated ivy is English ivy dressed up, its lobed green leaves edged and splashed in creamy white. As a houseplant it trails cleanly from a basket, drapes a shelf, or climbs a small form, and the pale edges brighten rooms where solid green plants tend to disappear.

Bright, indirect light keeps the variegation crisp; in deep shade new growth comes in greener. Let the soil dry a bit between waterings, and rinse the foliage now and then, which discourages spider mites in dry indoor air. Trim the runners any time to thicken the plant.
