Philodendron brandtianum, the silver leaf philodendron, drapes heart-shaped olive-green leaves brushed with broad silvery strokes, so the whole vine shimmers. It trails from baskets and shelves or climbs a moss pole, silvering up as each new leaf unfurls.

It's an easy keeper: bright, indirect light preserves the markings, and the top inch or two of soil should dry between waterings. Average household humidity is fine, more is better. Pinch long runners to keep the plant full and bushy.
