This variegated hoya trails long, waxy vines of cream-and-green foliage, with new growth often flushed pink, so a hanging basket shows three colors at once. Mature plants can produce clusters of fragrant, star-shaped blooms, one of the small thrills of growing hoyas.

Give it bright, indirect light to keep the variegation strong, and let the top inch or two of soil dry between waterings; hoyas store water in those thick leaves and resent soggy roots. Average room humidity is fine, and it blooms best when slightly pot-bound.
