Blue Zinger is a sedge that behaves like a tidy blue-gray ornamental grass, forming fine-textured fountains of steel-blue foliage around a foot tall. It reads cool and calm as an edging, a groundcover under trees, or a filler spilling from mixed containers.

Its range is wide: sun to part shade, average to damp soil, and it keeps its looks through much of the year here. Unlike many blue-toned grasses, it does not demand sharp drainage. Comb or trim off tired foliage in late winter and it refreshes on its own.
