About this plant
Origami is a columbine mix with upward-facing, long-spurred blooms in bicolor combinations of red, pink, blue, violet, and white, floating over lacy blue-green foliage in spring. The flowers have the intricate, folded-paper look the name promises, and hummingbirds returning in spring seek them out.
Columbines here want morning sun or light shade and well-drained soil; they bloom in the cool season and often rest or fade back in high summer. Let a few seed heads ripen and the mix will renew itself with volunteer seedlings. Deer and rabbits leave the foliage alone.
