Orange Halo is a blanket flower with daisy-form blooms in hot orange and yellow over grey-green foliage, flowering from late spring straight through the summer heat. The plant stays compact and low, a tidy clump rather than a sprawl, so it reads well at the front of a bed.

Plant it where the soil is lean and fast-draining, since rich ground makes it floppy and shortens its life. Once established it shrugs off dry spells, butterflies work the flowers all summer, and deer tend to leave it alone.
