Prince of Orange is a self-heading philodendron, meaning it grows as an upright rosette rather than a vine. Its trick is the color shift: new leaves unfurl bright orange, mellow to coppery amber, and finish deep green, so a healthy plant wears three colors at once.

Give it bright, indirect light to keep new growth coming; the more it grows, the more orange you see. Let the top couple inches of soil dry between waterings, keep it out of cold drafts, and give it average-to-humid room air. It stays a tidy, rounded houseplant rather than sprawling.
