Perfect Profusion is a meadow-type salvia with soft lilac-purple flower spikes over tidy green foliage, staying in a neat mound near knee height. It flowers heavily in early summer and, with a trim, repeats into fall, feeding bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds the whole time.

Full sun to part sun and drained soil suit it; established plants tolerate dry spells and heavy clay, and deer and rabbits pass it by. Shear the spent spikes back by a third after the first flush and fresh bloom follows within a few weeks.
