‘Needlepoint’ is a Chinese holly with narrow, glossy dark green leaves tipped with a single spine — far less vicious than English hollies. Dense, upright-rounded habit reaching 8–10 feet, and shears well if you want it smaller. Sets heavy red berries without needing a male pollinator nearby.

Full sun to part shade, any well-drained soil; tough in heat and drought once established. Plant as a hedge, screen, or foundation line where you want the berry crop without the hassle of cross-pollination.
